Tony Decker started Bay Area Mechanical when he noticed the industry was falling short on customer service. He believed quality workmanship didn't have to come at an inflated price. He started with one van, handled every call himself, and grew the company on nothing but results. Today Bay Area is twenty-five people strong — and most new customers still arrive through a neighbor's recommendation.

Tony graduated from Plumber and Steamfitters training school in 1991 and spent 15 years as a Carrier Corporation factory service technician. Seeing a consistent gap in customer care across the industry, he founded Bay Area Mechanical out of his home — handling every call himself until the work grew to demand more hands.
Tony continues to be personally involved in charity organizations across Anne Arundel County.
